winter solstice. and I thought that I had inspiration problems in november; 21st day, 10th post. anyway, the days are now getting longer, the nights shorter, so I offer this interpretation, with the bands of illuminated siding shorter on the left, and getting longer on the right.

as much as I don't like sodium vapor lights, they give me good reason to convert to monochromatic.
