enough was enough.
i drove by and saw the red shouldered hawk on the power line, so i swung back around to get his portrait. he wasn't there, but as i pulled up, a red tailed hawk flew up from the tall grass to near to where the red shouldered was.
i thought my mind was slipping, mistaking a red tailed for a red shouldered (geez, john), but nonetheless i started changing out lenses. alas, the red tailed was having none of that and flew across the street.
that's when i noticed the red shouldered on the wire. i got serveral (rather poor) shots of them both when the smaller bird decided to head (again) to a safer locale.
